Privacy Policy
Singally is designed to keep your songs, media, lyrics, and project work on your device. This policy explains that local-first approach and the limited information involved in operating the website.
Effective August 5, 20261. Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to Singally.com and the Singally browser-based karaoke video creation service. It describes the current service. If we later add accounts, cloud storage, payments, collaboration, or other data-processing features, we will update this policy before or when those features launch.
2. Project data stays in your browser
Singally currently stores projects, lyrics, word timing, track settings, imported audio, images, videos, and editor preferences in your browser using technologies such as IndexedDB and local storage. Preview and video export are performed on your device. The editor does not intentionally upload this project content to Singally's application servers.
A .singally project file or exported video leaves the browser only when you choose to download, move, or share it. You control those downloaded files and any third-party service to which you later upload them.
3. Information we and our host may process
When you visit Singally.com, our hosting and network providers may automatically process standard website request information such as your IP address, approximate IP-derived location, request time, requested page, referring page, browser and device type, operating system, network and system configuration, and security or diagnostic logs.
If you allow analytics, Google Analytics may process page views, page location, referring page, approximate location, browser and device information, and analytics identifiers stored by Google's tag. We configure analytics without Google Signals or advertising personalization. Google Analytics does not receive the audio, video, images, lyrics, timing marks, project names, or other contents of your Singally projects.
If you contact us, we process the information you provide, such as your email address, message, and any files you intentionally attach. Please do not send project media or sensitive personal information unless it is needed for your request.
4. Why we use information
We use the limited information described above to deliver Singally, route website traffic, understand aggregate website usage, protect against abuse, troubleshoot failures, improve reliability, respond to messages, comply with law, and establish or defend legal claims. Analytics is used only after you consent. Other legal bases may include performance of a contract, our legitimate interests in operating and securing the service, and compliance with legal obligations.
6. Service providers and disclosures
Singally is hosted using Vercel. Vercel may process request, network, device, and log information to provide and secure hosting. You can read the Vercel Privacy Notice for more information.
With your consent, Singally uses Google Analytics to measure website usage. Google may process analytics information as our service provider and may process it in countries where Google operates. You can read the Google Privacy Policy and Google's information about business data safeguards.
We may disclose information to service providers acting for us; when required by law, legal process, or a valid government request; to protect rights, safety, and security; or as part of a merger, financing, reorganization, acquisition, bankruptcy, or transfer of all or part of the service. We do not grant hosting providers permission to use your locally stored project content because that content is not intentionally sent to them.
7. Retention and deletion
Local projects and preferences remain in your browser until you delete them, clear Singally's site data, the browser removes them, or the device or profile is lost. You can delete projects inside the editor and clear site data through your browser. Downloaded project and video files must be deleted wherever you saved or shared them.
Hosting, security, analytics, and communication records are retained only as reasonably needed for their purposes, legal obligations, dispute resolution, and enforcement. Analytics event data follows the retention controls configured for our Google Analytics property; aggregate reports may be retained longer. Provider-controlled logs may follow the provider's own retention settings and policies.
8. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures appropriate to the service. No browser storage, transmission, or system is completely secure. Protect access to your device and browser profile, and keep durable backups of important projects.
9. Your privacy rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to know, access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or receive a portable copy of personal information, and to withdraw consent or appeal a decision. You may also have the right not to be discriminated against for exercising a privacy right.
Most editor data is local and is not available to us to identify or retrieve. You can manage that data directly in Singally or your browser. You can decline or withdraw analytics consent through the analytics choice on this page. For information we may hold, submit a request to legal@singally.com. We may need to verify your request, and applicable law may permit exceptions. You may also contact your local data-protection authority.
10. Children
Singally is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If local law requires a higher age for a child to consent to online services, that higher age applies. Contact us if you believe a child has provided personal information to us.
11. International processing
Website request and support information may be processed in the United States and other countries where we or our providers operate. Those countries may have different privacy laws. Where required, appropriate legal safeguards will be used for international transfers.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as Singally evolves. We will post the revised version here and change the effective date. We will provide additional notice for material changes when required by law.
